Support from a variety of public and private funders enables CCDH to carry out its mission of advocating for and providing supports and services to individuals with disabilities and their families.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY (DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES)

Miami-Dade County was CCDH’s first funder, and has supported it since the early 1970’s. Funding from Miami-Dade County supports Individual and Family Supports and provides stipends for In-Home Supports.

The Children’s Trust funds the All Children Together (ACT) Resource Network for the Special Needs of Children with Disabilities and Their Families. Its purpose is to increase the capacity of service providers funded by The Children’s Trust to include children with disabilities.

In furtherance of the United Way’s Improving Health and Independence initiative, this grant allows CCDH to provide emergency assistance to people with disabilities and their families. With the goals of preventing homelessness and promoting economic independence, funds are used to help pay for rent, utilities, and food.

FLORIDA ALLIANCE FOR ASSISTIVE SERVICES & TECHNOLOGY (FAAST)
CCDH uses this funding to obtain and refurbish assistive technology through the program’s device reutilization program.
MICHAEL GREY WHEELCHAIR REPAIR FUND
Established to help pay for wheelchair adaptations and repairs for children from economically disadvantaged families, read all about how it came to be and the children it is helping.
PATRICIA LEE WINN FAMILY EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE FUND (PLWFEAF)
Named in memory of the daughter of Senator and Mrs. Sherman Winn, this private fund enables CCDH to offer limited financial assistance to meet basic needs during times of crisis.
CCDH is also grateful for support received through an endowment from the NORTH DADE MEDICAL FOUNDATION.
